This morning I woke up in my hotel room in Rijswijk. While putting on my clothes and taking a shower I listened to the weather report on the breakfast news show RTL ontbijtnieuws.
For your entertainment, here is a rough translation of the Dutch weather report for the Netherlands for today:
"Today is going to be a very nice day. It'll be dry, warm and with plenty of sunshine all over the country with weak to moderate southeast winds. daytime temperatures are expected at around 12 degrees Celsius.
Tonight will be bright and quiet. In near windless conditions temperatures will be around 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, while in some places temperatures could drop to just below zero."
I guess I'm completely spoiled already by the Philippine climate... "...a very nice day......warm and with plenty of sunshine" and then ending the weather report with words like "...temperatures are expected at around 12 degrees.....","...will be around 2 - 3 degrees..." and "...drop to just below zero.".... Why try to market the weather like that, face it; it's getting winter here and I should be somewhere where it's 25+ degrees.. at least.
Ill try to make some picture while I'm here in Netherlands, but since I left my usb-cable in the Philippines it'll take a while before they'll be uploaded... but I don't think anyone is still expecting quick updates on this site.
